Our community often calls this mosque ’Selwerd Mosque’ since the location of this mosque is in Selwerd. This mosque is managed by the Marrocan community and is called Stichting Moskee en Islamitisch Centrum Groningen. Currently, the mosque is under renovation and becoming a larger mosque. The mosque is also familiar with the name ‘Turkish Mosque’ since the Turkish community manages it. The former building was the Dutch Reformed Church of Sion (1930s). In 1998, the Turkish community bought the building and changed it into a mosque. Location: Korreweg 198, 9715 HH Groningen
